About the Role:This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care. As a Registered Nurse in our Surgical Services team, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
- Monitor and report any changes in patient condition to the healthcare team
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Recent experience in surgical nursing with a focus on pre and postoperative care
- Strong knowledge of surgical nursing practices and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Certification in BCLS and/or other relevant certifications
- Recent continuing education in surgical nursing
- Experience working with patients with complex medical conditions
