Position Overview

A Part-Time Academic is sought to deliver instruction for the course COMM 4353 Strategic Management within the Faculty of Management. This role encompasses three distinct sections, providing flexibility for candidates to express interest in one, two, or all sections.

Key Responsibilities

The selected Part-Time Academic will:

  • Oversee the organization and delivery of their designated section.
  • Collaborate with a regular faculty member to develop suitable teaching and evaluation resources.
  • Conduct student assessments and ensure effective learning outcomes.
  • Hold two hours of office hours weekly for student consultations, with office space provided.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Master's degree in Management, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the subject matter.
  • Completion of a PhD or progress towards one, along with relevant teaching or professional experience.
  • Preference for those with a background in developing innovative educational materials that embrace principles of equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility (EDIA).
Compensation

The remuneration for this position is set at $6,478 per course, in accordance with the CUPE Collective Agreement.
