Job Title: Student Nutrition Team Lead

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families? Do you have a strong background in nutrition and program management? We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Student Nutrition Team Lead to join our team at the YMCA of Greater Toronto.

About the Role:

The Student Nutrition Team Lead will provide leadership and support to our Student Nutrition Programs across the Region of Peel. This role will work closely with our Director, school programs, community members, and other organizations to help achieve the goals of the program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with school programs, community members, and other organizations to support the program's goals.
  • Participate in fundraising activities and consult with community-based agencies to obtain resources for the program.
  • Communicate effectively with program locations, volunteers, and staff to ensure the smooth operation of the program.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and problem-solving support to program locations to ensure safe and effective program delivery.
  • Develop and prioritize program information packages, coordinate start-up of new program sites, and assist with parent and student engagement opportunities.
  • Work with coordinators to track program data, maintain records, and ensure compliance with Ministry guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of local community, Ontario Student Nutrition Program, and public and separate school systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Goal-oriented and results-focused, with a commitment to the YMCA's values and mission.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required.
  • Excellent understanding of diversity, inclusion, and equity, with the ability to identify and address barriers.
