Position Overview

We are seeking a highly accomplished legal professional to serve as our Chief Legal Officer. This critical role will provide comprehensive legal counsel and support to various departments within the Foundation, ensuring our operations remain compliant and aligned with best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic legal guidance on a wide range of matters, including contracts, intellectual property, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate agreements to safeguard the Foundation's interests.
  • Advise leadership on legal implications of organizational decisions and initiatives.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support informed decision-making.
  • Stay abreast of evolving legal trends and regulations relevant to the healthcare sector.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in corporate/commercial law, preferably within the healthcare or non-profit sector.
  • Licensed to practice law in Ontario.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation abilities.
