Shift Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Manager to join our team at Taco Del Mar. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Supervise and coordinate the activities of our food service staff, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet customer demands.
- Train and Develop Staff: Train and develop our staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent customer service.
- Hire and Manage Staff: Hire and manage our food service staff, ensuring that we have the right people in the right roles to meet our business needs.
- Quality Control: Ensure that our food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining high standards of quality and consistency.
- Customer Service: Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights into our business operations.
- Policies and Procedures: Develop and implement policies and procedures for daily operations, ensuring that our business runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Participate in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees, assisting with their immediate settlement needs and supporting their social and labour market integration.
- Support for Youth: Participate in government or community programs that support youth employment, offering on-the-job training and providing awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
- Support for Indigenous People: Participate in government or community programs that support Indigenous people, providing cultural competency training and facilitating access to Elders who can offer support and guidance.
Requirements:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
- Language: English
- Work Hours: 30 to 36 hours per week
