Job Title: Assistant Night Shift Manager

Department: Grocery

Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Night Shift Manager to join our Grocery team. As a key member of our night shift crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective functioning of the team, ensuring the stocking of shelves, and maintaining a neat presentation of the store for the next day of business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service in a courteous manner to maintain our reputation for friendly, effective, and personalized experience.
  • Assist with proper receiving procedures, including the verification of merchandise with invoices to ensure accuracy of logs.
  • Ensure proper product rotation, all shelves are properly stocked, and that grocery merchandise is labelled with proper PLU's.
  • Assist with ensuring that all ordering of product is complete for the next day.
  • Ensure safety policies and procedures are adhered to and that the store is neat and clean for the next day of business.
  • Assist with ongoing training and development of department staff.
  • In the absence of the Night Shift Manager, assume the duties of the Night Shift Manager maintaining the security of the business at all times.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Two to three years' experience in the grocery retail industry, preferably in night production.
  • Strong merchandising experience.
  • Ability to manage and direct employees.
  • Flexibility to work weekends as support to the 7-day operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
