JMB DRYWALL LTD. is seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, applying successive coats of compound, and sanding seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets to meet project specifications
  • Apply coats of compound to joints and seams, and sand to a smooth finish
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
Work Environment:

This is a physically demanding role that requires working at heights and handling heavy loads. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment, including a hard hat, mask, safety glasses/goggles, and steel-toed safety boots.

Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall installation
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • 32 hours per week
