Land Titles Initiative Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Manager of the Land Titles Initiative. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of African Nova Scotians by helping to resolve land title issues and promote economic development in their communities.
The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and expertise to the Land Titles Initiative, working closely with community leaders, government departments, and other stakeholders to design, develop, and deliver effective solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of African Nova Scotian affairs, as well as excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
Primary Accountabilities- Provide strategic expertise and advice to the Land Titles Initiative, including the development of related policy and legislation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, government departments, and other stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
- Lead the development of a comprehensive plan to resolve land title issues in African Nova Scotian communities, including the identification of key stakeholders, resources, and timelines.
- Work closely with community navigators to provide support and guidance to community members, and to ensure that their needs are met.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as public administration, business, or law, and several years of experience in a related field. They will also have a strong understanding of African Nova Scotian affairs, as well as excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
Leadership competencies required at this level of work include analytical thinking, action management, effective interactive communication, initiative, intercultural diversity proficiency, team leadership, and partnering and relationship building.
