Site Medical Director and Chief of Staff Opportunity

This leadership position combines two critical functions: Site Medical Director and Chief of Staff. As Site Medical Director, you will work in a co-leadership model with the Medical Director to ensure high-quality service delivery within the site. As Chief of Staff, you will link directly with Department Heads and Division Heads to monitor and enhance medical governance within the site.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Governance:
    • Co-lead and oversee activities to ensure integrated service delivery within the site.
    • Link with Departmental Medical Leaders to address matters of physician governance, including professional medical practice issues.
  • Operations and Quality Management:
    • Co-monitor site performance with a focus on issues that arise between programs.
    • Facilitate course corrections when necessary.
    • Ensure appropriate investigation and resolution of site-related PSLS and PCQO events.
    • Collaborate with Departmental Medical Leaders and Medical Affairs to address individual practitioner quality issues.
  • Change Management and Implementation:
    • Co-develop and implement change management plans to engage and support site physicians and staff through change.
  • Informatics and Data-Driven Decision Making:
    • Oversee activities that advance technology and data use to improve service delivery within the site.
    • Collaborate with the IHealth team and the Quality Systems team.
  • Strategic Planning and Resource Allocation:
    • Assess, monitor, and anticipate site resource needs.
    • Work with medical leaders and administrative leaders to prioritize these needs within available resources.
  • Cultural Safety and Humility:
    • Demonstrate a commitment to one's own journey of cultural humility.
    • Engage in conversations around cultural safety.
  • LEADS Capabilities:
    • Deliver services using LEADS based capabilities.

Additional responsibilities and specific deliverables will be discussed with the successful candidate.
