Program Director

Rivercity Inclusion Society - Dogwood Place is seeking a skilled Program Director to lead our programs in fostering individual development for children and adults with developmental delays. As a people-first leader, you will uphold our family-centered philosophy by fostering positive relationships with staff members and encouraging collaboration.
The ideal candidate will have experience with MCFD funded programs and a strong understanding of community-based programs and related provincial and community support systems. You will work closely with program Supervisors to address potential program threats and opportunities, sustain and develop relationships with external partners, and oversee the coordination and administration of all aspects of ongoing programming.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with program Supervisors to address program threats and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including CLBC, VIHA, MCFD, and BC Housing.
- Assist with Human Resources activities, including interviewing, hiring, and training of Supervisors and staff.
- Oversee the coordination and administration of ongoing programming, including planning, organizing, and staffing.
- Participate in the organization's senior management team to develop long-range and strategic plans.
Qualifications:
- Relevant degree or equivalent combination of direct experience and education.
- Minimum of five years' management and administrative experience in the social services and/or not-for-profit sector.
- Strong program delivery experience with clients with developmental disabilities or housing sector.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of community-based programs and related provincial and community support systems.
