Job Title: Live-in Maintenance Technician

Realstar Management is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Live-in Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper physical maintenance of our properties, including the grounds.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in cleaning and maintaining the property, including the grounds, to ensure a safe and healthy environment for residents.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as repairing light fixtures, vents, filters, and plumbing fixtures.
  • Operate all equipment safely and ensure that standards of snow removal are adhered to.
  • Conduct daily visual inspections of all mechanical, HVAC, and sprinkler systems.
  • Supervise service providers and contractors and oversee the quality of work performed.
  • Ensure that the property is in compliance with provincial and municipal regulations.
  • Pre-inspect vacant suites to ensure they are prepared for new residents.
  • Coordinate with the Property Manager to schedule maintenance and repairs.
Requirements:
  • Background in residential property management or related business experience.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Excellent management skills to coach, train, and motivate staff.
  • Ability to perform minor repairs and aptitude for mechanical systems.
  • Demonstrated cleaning skills and ability to lift and push heavy objects.
