Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Safran Landing Systems. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our CNC machines and other production equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC machines and other production equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Use precision measurement instruments to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Consult blueprints, schematics, and other sources to identify and resolve equipment problems.
- Follow established maintenance schedules and protocols to ensure equipment is properly maintained and serviced.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service tasks.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments as needed.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines and other production equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Operate within relevant safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain clean and orderly work areas, adhering to company 5S rules and regulations.
- Complete shift reports to communicate with maintenance technicians, staff, and management.
- Assist with metal fabrication tasks as needed.
- Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities using our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician with CNC machines.
- Graduation from a technical college with a Maintenance Technician certification or equivalent.
- Industrial millwright or industrial electrician trade certificate (433A or 442A) is an asset.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work midnight shifts and as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Confident to work independently and take on tasks as required.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures and practices.
- Knowledge of safety requirements for relevant equipment.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office package).
- Knowledge of CNC and PLC-controlled machines (Siemens, Fanuc, and other major control manufacturers).
- Experience with welding and fabrication.
- Able to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical drawings.
