Engineering Manager - TSF

Barrick is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager - TSF to lead the Engineering team on the Naranjo Tailing Storage Facility project at the Pueblo Viejo Mine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engineering design criteria, ensuring compliance with regulations and permits.
  • Advise on process design and development of infrastructure facilities, collaborating with engineering consultants as needed.
  • Support the development of risk registers, formal risk assessments, and mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee the creation of deliverables, including designs, drawings, specifications, and vendor packages.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in engineering, project management, and large-scale project management, including Tailing Storage Facilities.
  • Strong technical background in engineering planning, geotechnical engineering, investigation, and design.
  • Water management and process and water chemistry background is an asset.
  • Experience in Front End Planning.
  • Engineering/Geotechnical experience – TSF.
  • Experience in CQA – CQC.
  • Develop and review mine life cycle surface and groundwater management plans, considering water and process chemistry, supply and demand, recycling possibilities, hydrology, regulations, and policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree or similar is required.
