**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of Assistant Department Manager, Deli at our Westbank, BC location. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a team of deli department employees, providing exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth through innovative strategies.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of deli department employees, providing coaching, mentoring, and training to ensure excellent customer service and sales results.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, open communication, and a customer-first mentality.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive business growth and increase customer loyalty.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering and receiving stock, to ensure optimal product availability and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with other department managers to achieve company-wide goals and objectives.
**Requirements**
- Previous retail or customer service experience, preferably in a grocery or food service environment.
- Food Safe Certification.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Integrity, enthusiasm, and a willingness to go above and beyond to deliver exceptional results.
