**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Department Manager to join our team at our Westbank, BC location. As a key member of our deli department, you will be responsible for leading a team, fostering a positive work environment, and driving business growth.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead a team of deli department employees, providing coaching, mentoring, and guidance to ensure excellent customer service and sales results.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, open communication, and a customer-first mentality.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth, including analyzing sales data, identifying trends, and making data-driven decisions.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering and receiving stock, to ensure optimal product availability and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with other department managers to achieve company goals and objectives.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
**Requirements**
- Previous retail or customer service experience, preferably in a grocery or food service environment.
- Food Safe Certification.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Passion for great food and providing outstanding customer service.
