Job Summary:

The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service establishment, ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards. This includes supervising and coordinating activities of staff, training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and maintaining records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure efficient operations.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, including food service counter attendants and food preparers.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to ensure accurate inventory management.
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards by conducting regular quality checks and addressing customer complaints or concerns.
  • Establish work schedules and maintain a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service establishment.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively supervise and train staff.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and inventory management.
Work Environment:

The Food Service Supervisor will work in a fast-paced food service establishment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods. The work environment is physically demanding, and the supervisor must be able to maintain a high level of energy and productivity throughout the shift.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Hours of Work:

The hours of work are 30 to 40 hours per week.
