Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive engineering designs for diverse projects.
- Offer technical direction to field personnel and ensure adherence to project standards.
- Oversee projects from initial concept to final execution, mentoring junior engineers.
- Assist in proposal preparation, project timelines, and vendor quotation evaluations.
- Ensure thorough project documentation and quality assurance.
- Implement safe design practices and methodologies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project compliance.
- Manage project timelines, quality assurance plans, and technical specifications.
- Prepare detailed engineering proposals and schedules.
Renewable Energy Operations:
- Facilitate a seamless transition from Pre-Construction to Operations.
- Assist the Operations Team with project engineering and technical support.
- Provide guidance to technical Project Coordinators and the Commissioning Team.
- Participate in site meetings to ensure installations conform to specifications.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer designation.
- 5-10 years of experience in substation design.
- Familiarity with North American codes and relevant software.
- Experience in utility projects and power systems design.
- Ability to manage subcontractors and work autonomously.
- Knowledge of Canadian utility standards.
- Experience with renewable energy projects is advantageous.
- Strong multitasking and interpersonal abilities.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License.
