About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Director, Risk Advisory Services to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our Risk Advisory team, you will be responsible for driving and leading relationships and projects with our client's real estate business and the holding company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive and lead relationships and projects with our client's real estate business and the holding company.
  • Liaise with a variety of cross-functional stakeholders in critical and exciting operational and strategic areas.
  • Engage in process optimization, data analytics and visualization, risk and controls assessments, assurance, and special high-priority consulting projects as requested by Senior Management and the Board.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Superior communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels (both written and verbal).
  • A critical thinking mindset with a risk focus.
  • The ability to partner and collaborate with cross-functional teams, second lines risk and compliance functions, and external auditors/consultants to establish reliance between coverage of risk across the three lines of defense.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to drive partnerships and engagements with stakeholders, executive leadership, audit committees, and the Board.
  • 8+ years of experience, including 3+ years of leadership experience, in management consulting, finance, managing business operations, and/or internal audit/ external audit.
  • A bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, politics, or social sciences.
  • CPA, ACCA, CIA or MBA is a strong asset.
  • Real Estate or Asset Management experience highly preferred.
