Role Summary: Reporting to the Brand Finance Manager, the Senior Financial Analyst will play a pivotal role within the Finance team, delivering financial guidance to the Marketing department. This position involves providing critical financial insights and facilitating essential decisions concerning revenue, profitability, and return on investments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive analyses of Brand P&Ls (monthly, quarterly, annually, and Budget), ensuring timely updates on key performance indicators.
  • Present findings on brand performance to Brand Managers during scheduled reviews.
  • Analyze complex data to draw conclusions and make informed financial recommendations with minimal oversight.
  • Evaluate tactical implications on brand profitability, including monitoring display trends and associated costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Operations, Revenue Management, Supply Chain, Internal and External auditors, and Accounting.
  • Lead the preparation, analysis, and monitoring of brand profitability for new product development, business analysis, cost-saving initiatives, and marketing program investments, followed by actionable recommendations and execution plans.
  • Work closely with Brand Managers to ensure accuracy in brand performance reporting and forecasting, addressing committed versus actual outcomes through complex analytical work and special projects.
  • Serve as the primary finance contact for brand and functional groups regarding brand profitability and analysis.
  • Assess and manage brand marketing expenditures.
Qualifications:
  • Professional Accounting Designation – CPA is an asset.
  • 3-5 years of experience in FP&A or commercial finance within the CPG industry, demonstrating proficiency in managing a diverse portfolio of brands.
  • Experience with SAP and Oracle is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Excel and MS Word.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to present data meaningfully and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Critical thinking skills with a focus on proposing improvements to existing policies and practices.
