Job Summary

We are seeking a responsible and dependable Articulating Truck Operator to join our team at Heidelberg Materials. As a Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of aggregate materials around our Spy Hill Agg Operation in Calgary.

About the Role

  • Operate the haul truck to transport rock products to the plant and stockpiles as directed
  • Utilize equipment in a manner to maximize productivity and minimize wear and down time
  • Operate other mobile plant equipment as needed (ie. Water Truck, Loader)
  • Work in all areas of the plant as needed
  • Report mechanical or maintenance issues with equipment
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations, and with company policies and procedures; perform daily equipment inspections, as well as identify and assist in correcting unsafe conditions

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2 years prior haul truck (or other large mobile equipment) experience preferred
  • Previous experience in open pit mining operations and aggregate products is an asset
  • Able to work inside and outside in year-round weather conditions
