Assistant Researcher Internship Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Assistant Researcher Intern to join our team at Huawei Technologies Canada Co., Ltd. for an 8-month internship.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop verification and validation tests for software and hardware using GNU Radio.
  • Develop software modules in GNU Radio to support radar and communication functions.
  • Collaborate with Design Engineers to identify and resolve design bugs and document system behavior.
  • Improve test automation and design validation processes.
  • Support system characterization and testing.
  • Develop and implement automation for Software Defined Radio (SDR) testing.
Requirements:
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with Linux, C++, and Python programming languages.
  • Proficiency in Git source code management.
  • Experience with open-source GNU Radio software and/or Software Defined Radio.
  • Background in developing communication systems from simulation to product, with expertise in OFDM or advanced systems.
  • Knowledge of digital signal processing techniques and RF systems.
  • Familiarity with RF lab equipment, such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.
  • Understanding of Radar systems and imaging algorithms.
