About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Support Specialist to join our team at Paul Eugene Barre. As a Family Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients, enabling them to maintain their independence and dignity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
  • Medication Management: Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals, maintaining accurate records and ensuring client safety.
  • Household Management: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, maintaining a clean and safe living environment for clients.
  • Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, engaging in activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals, considering clients' dietary needs and preferences.
  • Errands and Shopping: Assist clients with grocery shopping, errands, and other tasks, ensuring their needs are met.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Work Setting: This is a live-in position, with optional accommodation available at no charge. Room and board will be provided.
  • Work Conditions: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, handling heavy loads, and physically demanding tasks.
  • Personal Suitability: Punctuality, client focus, dependability, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, and a team player attitude.
