Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Researcher to join our Wastewater Intensification processes department in Canada, Oakville, ON. As a Researcher, you will be part of our Applications & Systems (A&S) team and will be responsible for developing new generation intensification processes around Veolia's core technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and contribute to technical assistance and innovation programs, including the development of new wastewater intensification processes with MBR.
  • Follow-up of Premieres references and contributions to REX in collaboration with the Technology team of scientists and R&D Programs/Projects Leads.
  • Collaborate with R&D experts & scientists of the Technology group in the field of wastewater treatment around our core MBR and MABR applications.
  • Contribute to the development of new wastewater intensification solutions around Veolia's core water technologies to launch and actively participate to new research programs.
Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's Degree in engineering with a focus on Water, Environmental Sciences, or related disciplines. An advanced degree (Master or PhD/Post Doctoral) is preferred. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 5 years of industry experience or 3 to 8 years of academic experience in wastewater treatment, research project management, process design or related fields.

Additional Requirements
  • Experience with project management (research, engineering, consulting, operations).
  • Experience with biological process simulators, such as BioWin, SIMBA, SUMO, and/or GPS-X.
  • Savvy in problem solving in wastewater treatment via technology/process development.
  • Autonomy, team player.
  • Good command of English and technical communication skills (French is a plus).
  • Strong adherence to Diversity Inclusions, Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) practices.
