About Amazon Web Services Identity and Access Management (AWS IAM)

AWS IAM is a highly technical space with an emphasis on security, scale, and operational excellence. We are looking for a strong Senior Software Engineers to join the team that owns IAM Propagation functionality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and operate high-throughput, reliable, distributed systems on a global scale as part of a high-performing engineering team.
  • Strong technical skills, solid project management skills, efficient communication, motivation, vision, and sound judgment to stay focused on key business outcomes and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Partners with others, keeps the big picture in sight, informs prioritization, builds consensus, and rallies the team behind it.
  • Design and implement complex system components while maintaining an uncompromising bar on quality and supporting less experienced team members in growing their craft.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 7+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • 4+ years of highly scalable systems experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
