Job Title: Dairy Herdsperson

Entreprises Lavoie (1999) Ltd. is seeking a skilled Dairy Herdsperson to join our team. As a key member of our dairy farm, you will be responsible for the health and well-being of our dairy cattle.

Work Environment

The work environment is outdoors, with exposure to dusty, hot, and noisy conditions. You will be working in a rural area with staff accommodation available. The work site is remote, and you will be required to work in all weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat livestock health issues
  • Monitor animal health and track feed inventory
  • Feed and tend to animals, including milking cows
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
  • Formulate feeding programs and maintain livestock performance records
  • Maintain quality control and production records
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in livestock care
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Organized and reliable
