About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Food Processing Labourer to join our team at Highbury Canco. As a Food Processing Labourer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our food products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Safety and Handling: Maintain a high level of food safety and handling skills to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Machine Operation: Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines, and remove filled containers from conveyors.
  • Packaging and Quality Control: Manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers, and check products and packaging for basic quality defects.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Conditions: Work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, and be able to stand for extended periods.
  • Physical Capabilities: Possess manual dexterity, and be able to bend, crouch, and kneel as required.
Personal Suitability
  • Reliability: Demonstrate reliability and a strong work ethic to meet the demands of the role.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn on the job.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication in the workplace.
  • Work Term: Seasonal.
  • Hours: 40 to 48 hours per week.
