The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority leads the planning and coordination of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba.

Position Overview

The Healthcare Aide assists residents and patients in meeting their personal activity of daily living needs as identified within an established care plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide care and support to residents and patients in accordance with established care plans and organizational policies.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support patients with mobility and transfer needs.
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Document patient care and progress in accordance with organizational policies.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Grade 12
  • Healthcare Aide Certificate from a recognized program
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Acute Care)
  • One to two (1-2) years' experience working in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in stressful environments

Candidates must undergo a thorough background check and provide proof of immunization as a condition of employment.
