Job Overview

Reporting to the management team, the HDPE Fusion Technician plays a crucial role in the fabrication and on-site installation of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) products, alongside various warehouse responsibilities. This position demands a strong service orientation, meticulous attention to detail, and a steadfast commitment to safety protocols.

  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabricate custom HDPE orders according to specified requirements
  • Conduct installation of pipes, fittings, and custom fabrications at client sites
  • Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety within the warehouse
  • Receive, count, and verify incoming shipments
  • Select materials for orders, assemble, and prepare them for shipment
  • Safely load and unload trucks while operating fusion equipment and forklifts
  • Maintain and repair HDPE pipe fusion machinery
  • Undertake additional tasks as directed by the Profit Centre Manager
  • Be prepared for extended travel as required
  • Reside within the local area

Qualifications

  • Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent; post-secondary education is an asset
  • Strong work ethic and high integrity standards
  • Ability to acquire comprehensive knowledge of products and their applications
  • Exceptional customer service abilities
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to maintain effective relationships with clients, suppliers, and colleagues
  • Energetic, self-driven, and capable of working independently
  • Valid driver's license is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience or familiarity with McElroy fusion machines is advantageous.
