Role Overview:
Are you ready to embark on a rewarding career in the field of industrial automation? Our organization, a prominent player in the automation sector, is seeking an Electromechanical Technician to enhance our team in Quebec City. This position involves providing expert technical assistance for automated material handling systems within warehouses and distribution centers, employing advanced troubleshooting techniques and a variety of technical tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in hands-on work on the production floor.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on a wide range of production machinery.
- Collaborate closely with the resident maintenance team to enhance system understanding, address challenges, and prevent future issues.
- Participate in internal meetings to discuss operational improvements.
- Be prepared to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays, to support customer service and adapt to change requests.
- Utilize your experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of electromechanical systems, including electric motors, generators, and control systems.
- Demonstrate the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues, minimizing downtime and maximizing production efficiency.
- Exhibit proficiency in the installation, repair, and adjustment of electrical and mechanical components, adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Maintain industrial automation systems effectively.
- Commit to safe work practices and compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
- Work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a DEP or Professional Certificate in Electromechanics or a related field.
- Familiarity with automation technologies such as conveyors and automated cranes.
- Knowledge of bus systems, including Ethernet and Profibus, with a willingness to work flexible hours based on business needs.
- Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
- Fluency in English and French is an asset.
- Experience in conducting preventive and corrective maintenance on electromechanical equipment.
- Skilled in diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults in production systems.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance equipment efficiency and reliability.
