Job Summary:
RhynoCare is seeking highly skilled and experienced Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) to join our team in providing exceptional nursing care to our residents in long term and acute care facilities in the Unionville area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Nursing Care Delivery: Provide high-quality nursing care to residents in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care, within the scope of practice of an RPN.
- Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of residents' physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs, and develop individualized care plans to meet their unique requirements.
- Medication Management: Ensure the safe and controlled administration of medications and narcotics, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
- Resident Admission and Discharge: Coordinate timely and safe admissions and discharges, ensuring a smooth transition for residents and their families.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to provide comprehensive care and support to residents.
Requirements:
- Registration and Certification: Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and current BLS Certificate.
- Education and Training: Valid First Aid & CPR certification and proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (MMRV), as well as a negative TB skin test within one year and Hepatitis B.
- Background Check: Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to work flexible shift times, including eight or twelve hours in length, and 'float' from unit to unit within a hospital as needed.
- Reliability and Accountability: Reliable and accountable, with a commitment to adhering to RhynoCare's shift acceptance/cancellation policy.
