About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Buyer III to join our Operations team at Synaptive. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for executing procurement strategies and objectives to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of quality materials to support our manufacturing demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement plans to meet business objectives, ensuring alignment with inventory objectives and manufacturing demands.
- Manage and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and agreements to secure the best possible terms and prices.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and prioritize procurement needs, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.
- Monitor and report on procurement performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing process changes to optimize efficiency and cost savings.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements to inform procurement decisions.
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to inform business decisions, leveraging data analytics and market research to drive procurement strategies.
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree in a relevant field, such as supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field, with a proven track record of success in procurement leadership roles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and ERP systems, with experience in procurement software and systems a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or related certification.
- Experience working in a regulated industry, such as medical devices or pharmaceuticals.
- Knowledge of Oracle NetSuite ERP and experience in procurement module, saved searches, and MRP module.
