Job Title: Transportation Electrical Engineer

Morrison Hershfield, now Stantec, is a leading engineering consulting firm that delivers innovative solutions for infrastructure projects. We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Electrical Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the design process from feasibility to completion and collaborate with clients on major projects.
  • Perform detailed electrical design work and review the work of junior designers.
  • Lead the CAD team for drawing preparation and review deliverables prior to submission to clients.
  • Prepare written reports based on building electrical assessments and audits.
  • Develop written tender documents and technical specifications, evaluating products and contractor proposals to make award recommendations to the owner.
  • Work with management to develop business strategies related to new clients and potential growth areas in electrical engineering.
  • Assist with proposal preparation and contacting new clients to grow business.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • P.Eng. registration in Canada.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in engineering consulting.
  • CAD experience is required.
  • Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD 2006/2004/2008/2010.
  • Knowledge of lighting software and basic engineering is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects within a fast-paced environment.
