Job Title: Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team in Markham, Ontario. As a key member of our transportation electrical design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for transportation facilities, including traffic signals and roadway lighting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems for transportation facilities, including traffic signals and roadway lighting
  • Prepare preliminary and detailed designs, estimates, specifications, and proposals
  • Collaborate with technical staff to ensure accurate and complete designs
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal team members to ensure successful project delivery
  • Lead and contribute to the design, production, coordination, and management of traffic signal design and lighting projects
Requirements:
  • Completed Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Traffic/Civil Engineering
  • 10 years of relevant experience in intersection/traffic signal design, ideally in a design-consulting or utility environment
  • Must have or be eligible for the P. Eng. designation in Ontario
  • Proficient with AutoCAD and Microstation
  • Working knowledge of Ontario Traffic Manuals, Ontario Electrical Safety Code, Highway Traffic Act, and Technical Manuals published by the Transportation Association of Canada
