We are seeking a skilled Clinical Therapist to join our team at the Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering time-limited, evidence-based psycho-social assessments and treatments to children and youth with Tier-3 mental disorders and Substance Use Disorders.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in a clinical health-related discipline and current registration with a relevant provincial regulatory body. You will have a minimum of two years' related experience, including assessment and planning, treatment and intervention, and discharge planning.
We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of the principles of harm reduction, the dynamics of addiction, and evidence-based interventions for the treatment of addiction. You will also have demonstrated knowledge and skills in individual/group cognitive behavioral therapy, psycho-educational groups, crisis intervention, suicide, and violence risk assessment/intervention.
The successful candidate will be able to work independently with limited supervision and participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team. You will have basic competencies in relation to identifying and treating concurrent mental health and substance use disorders, as well as experience in interviewing, counseling, and teaching health concepts to individuals, families, and groups.

About You- Master's Degree in a clinical health-related discipline (Masters in Social Work, Psychology, Masters in Counseling, Masters in Nursing, or Masters in Occupational Therapy)
- Current registration with relevant provincial regulatory body or eligible
- Minimum two years' related experience required, including assessment and planning, treatment and intervention, and discharge planning

- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in collaborating with families in relation to sharing information, and implementing family-sensitive services that involve families in the care and recovery of people living with mental illness and addiction
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
- Permanent Full Time position; 75 Hours Bi Weekly
Clinical Therapist: $49.04 hourly
Clinical Therapist (Less than two years experience): $42.01 hourly
