Overview

The Premium Supervisor plays a crucial role in assisting the Manager on duty with overseeing the activities of team members within the food service sector, ensuring exceptional standards of customer service are upheld.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support Shift Managers in overseeing various food service operations.
  2. Manage the preparation of menu offerings, ensure accurate cash handling, oversee staff, and facilitate employee training and scheduling.
  3. Collaborate with the Shift Manager to address workforce issues, maintain records of weekly inventory, sales performance, and manage costs related to labor and food.
  4. Engage positively with café customers, addressing their concerns in a timely manner.
  5. Ensure adherence to Compass' Quality Assurance protocols and comply with Health and Safety regulations, including the Occupational Health and Safety Act and WHMIS standards.
  6. Conduct regular workplace inspections and provide WHMIS training for all personnel, reporting any incidents to the head office promptly.
  7. Guarantee that Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines are strictly followed during food preparation.

Required Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of one year of substantial management experience in the food service industry.
  2. Thorough knowledge of health and safety practices.
  3. Familiarity with food service catering operations.
  4. Strong leadership and supervisory capabilities to inspire and guide staff.
  5. Experience in employee relations within a unionized setting is advantageous.
  6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
