Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team in Ottawa. This role offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience and contribute to our operations during peak season.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate elevator systems and powered industrial equipment efficiently and safely.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment through general plant cleaning tasks.
  • Demonstrate physical agility by climbing stairs, ladders, and working in various heights.
  • Perform essential duties such as shoveling, vacuuming/sweeping, loading and unloading trucks and railcars, and general maintenance.
  • Be flexible and available to work overtime, including up to 12-hour shifts and weekend hours during peak periods.

Requirements:

  • Commitment to safety protocols and a zero-injury workplace culture.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for this role.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including prolonged standing, working in confined spaces and heights, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, and tolerating various weather conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.).
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and meet all requirements for respirator use.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends during harvest seasons.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude at all times.
  • Provide your own transportation to and from the workplace.
