Job Title: Roofing Apprentice

We are seeking a skilled Roofing Apprentice to join our team at Top-Line Roofing & Sheet Metal Inc. As a Roofing Apprentice, you will assist experienced roofers in installing and repairing roofing systems, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the installation of built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel
  • Help in the installation of single-ply roofing systems using waterproof sheet materials, such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions
  • Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Repair or replace single-ply roofing systems
  • Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms
Requirements:
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physically demanding tasks
  • Reliability and team player skills
