Position Overview

Sunbelt Rentals, a leading provider in the rental industry across Canada, is in search of a Heavy Equipment Road Technician. We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce, proudly supporting military veterans.

This role involves conducting preventive maintenance and performing repairs on equipment at customer sites, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime. The equipment we service includes Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, and specialized machinery such as large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas-related equipment. Technicians will also engage in shop work during periods without field service calls. Participation in an on-call rotation is a requirement.

Qualifications for Success

  • High school diploma or GED is required; trade school or equivalent training is preferred
  • 1 to 3 years of experience as a technician with diesel or heavy construction equipment is strongly preferred
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
