About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team at Shamrock Veterinary Clinic in Comox, BC. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital.

  • Assist veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments, including patient care and administrative duties.
  • Create a warm and welcoming environment for our pet parents and patients.
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our patients and adapt to changing situations.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties, including cleanliness of reception areas, pet holding areas, and common spaces.
  • Develop a willingness to learn more about veterinary services, updated medical office procedures, and assisting the veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments.
  • Demonstrate compassion and a nurturing attitude towards our patients and their families.
  • Take initiative and work independently to ensure the efficient operation of our hospital.
  • A Veterinary Assistant (VA) or Veterinary Office Assistant (VOA) program certificate is an asset.
