Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for laying bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry units to build residential and commercial structures. This includes preparing and installing prefabricated masonry units, building patios, garden walls, and other decorative installations.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry units to build residential and commercial structures.
- Construct and install prefabricated masonry units.
- Build patios, garden walls, and other decorative installations.
- Read sketches and blueprints to calculate materials required.
- Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools.
- Lay bricks or other masonry units to build residential or commercial chimneys and fireplaces.
- Lay radial bricks to build masonry shells of industrial chimneys.
- Restore, clean, or paint existing masonry structures.
- 1 to less than 7 months of experience in the trade.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor.
