POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Petroleum Technician Apprentice to become part of our expanding team. Our focus is on the upkeep and repair of petroleum systems, electrical components, and fuel management solutions for retail gas stations, large industrial manufacturing facilities, utility providers, transit services, and municipal works.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engage in hands-on technical training. Collaborate with certified technicians to assist with:
  • Maintenance and servicing of petroleum systems and equipment critical to operational success.
  • Repair and upkeep of leak detection mechanisms.
  • Accumulate hours towards petroleum technician certification.
  • Deliver parts to various job sites as necessary.
  • Oversee cleanliness and organization of the workshop and storage areas.
  • Assist lead technicians during service calls as a secondary support.
  • Uphold professionalism and courtesy to represent the company positively.
  • Cultivate independent decision-making skills to address unique work challenges.
  • Foster strong, reliable relationships with clients.
  • Develop proficiency in completing documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Adhere to company health and safety regulations.
  • Demonstrate the physical and mental capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Mechanically inclined with a knack for troubleshooting mechanical issues.
  • Clean driving record and valid driver's license.
  • Enjoy working collaboratively as well as independently.
  • Capable of making sound judgments while working autonomously.
  • Enthusiastic about traveling and exploring new locations.
  • Continuously seek improvements in efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Eager to learn and follow guidance when necessary.

This is a full-time position with a competitive hourly wage ranging from $24 to $30, determined by the successful candidate's qualifications, including experience, education, and performance related to this role.
