Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to join our team at BGIS. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of petroleum equipment, electrical systems, and fuel management systems for retail petroleum stations, industrial manufacturing plants, utility providers, and public works yards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform on-the-job technical learning and shadow accredited technicians to support service and maintenance of petroleum equipment, systems, and accessories.
  • Repair and maintain leak detection systems.
  • Build hours towards petroleum technician accreditation.
  • Deliver parts to jobsites as required.
  • Manage and maintain the shop and warehouse.
  • Assist lead technicians on service calls.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients and ensure professionalism, sensitivity, and tact in all interactions.
  • Develop independent judgment in solving unusual work problems.
  • Complete documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure compliance with company health and safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to solve mechanical problems.
  • Clean driver's abstract and valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Moderate computer skills.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Organized and timely.
Additional Assets
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset.

This is a regular, full-time position with a salary range of $24 - $30 per hour. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate's competencies, including but not limited to experience, education, and performance related to this role.
