About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pilot to join our team as a Seasonal Pilot (Shadow or Bird-dog) in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate assigned aircraft in accordance with our Company Operations Manual and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Conduct bombing run assessments and coordinate air tanker activity around active wildfires
  • Adhere to instructions issued by officers of the Department of Natural Resources on fire suppression or instructions from the base manager when assigned to aerial application projects
  • Report all items requiring maintenance on the aircraft as soon as possible
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the aircraft at all times
Requirements
  • Commercial Pilot License - Fixed wing
  • Previous experience in role or familiarity in aerial suppression operations (asset qualification)
  • Experience in a Piper Aerostar, Cessna Caravan, or aircraft equipped with a Garmin G1000NXI (asset)
  • Valid driver's license for travel within and outside the province
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English
  • Valid passport
