Role Summary
Reporting to the Manager of Business Systems IT, the ERP Analyst will become a vital member of our IFS Services & Support team. This role encompasses the support and maintenance of DHC's primary ERP system (IFS). Responsibilities include addressing functional and technical challenges reported by users, managing service requests, overseeing problem and change management, and designing, developing, and implementing new IFS solutions. Additionally, the analyst will monitor and evaluate support quality metrics to identify improvement opportunities and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and implement IFS application updates, patches, and system enhancements.
- Take ownership of functional and technical issues reported by users, ensuring comprehensive resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Develop clean, efficient, and maintainable code for IFS features, bug fixes, and hotfixes, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Assist in automating ERP workflows and processes utilizing IFS BPA or relevant scripting languages.
- Contribute to the documentation of software features, technical specifications, and user manuals.
- Stay informed about the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- A university degree or equivalent professional qualifications in software/system engineering is required.
Skills
- Understanding of software engineering or IT service management methodologies and best practices.
- Fundamental knowledge of IFS Apps10 and 21R1+ Cloud versions, with proven experience in environment maintenance.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as PLSQL, Python, and NodeJS.
- Experience with version control systems, including Git and branching strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Advanced experience with development tools such as Visual Studio, VSCode, Resharper, or similar is advantageous.
- Advanced knowledge of Azure cloud services is a plus.
