The Banquet Bartender is a key member of our team at Westwood Plateau, responsible for delivering exceptional beverage service to our banquet guests. This role requires a strong knowledge of products, ingredients, and glassware, as well as the ability to handle cash and credit card sales in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Serve banquet guests' beverages according to specific bar requirements and function sheets.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of drink types, ingredients, garnishes, and glassware.
- Mix drinks to order with the correct amount of alcohol content.
- Handle cash and credit card sales efficiently and accurately.
- Set up and maintain the bar area, ensuring all necessary condiments, glassware, and equipment are available.
- Clean and restock the bar area, storing leftover liquor and cleaning supplies in secure locations.
- Recycle bottles and cans, and ensure wine products are organized and chilled as needed.
- Identify signs of intoxication and use intervention strategies.
- Previous experience in banquet and/or restaurant supervision.
- Serving It Right license is mandatory; Foodsafe is an asset.
- Reliable transportation is required, as public transit is limited in the area.
- Availability for a minimum of 3 shifts per week, including one weekend day.
- Ability to work late-night shifts, including until 3am or later.
- Must be 18+ years old due to alcohol service requirements.
