Matrix Labour Leasing Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced carpenter to join our team. As a carpenter, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to carpentry work.
Key Responsibilities- Demolition and Removal: Perform selective demolition and removal of waste to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Repair and Construction: Repair and construct external timber stairs, walkways, and other carpentry features.
- Installation: Install buoyancy floats and cedar boards to metal docks, ensuring a secure and durable structure.
- Tool Operation: Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently to complete tasks.
- Teamwork: Work closely with other members of the Carpentry team to achieve project goals.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the project manager.
- Physical Demands: Must be willing to perform a wide variety of tasks with varying physical requirements, including lifting, climbing ladders, and being on your feet for extended periods.
- Height and Confined Spaces: Must be willing to work at height and in confined spaces, following all safety protocols.
- Weather Conditions: Extended outdoor activity; exposure to varied weather conditions.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and project managers.
- Carpentry Experience: Prior carpentry work experience, with versatility in all types of general carpentry.
- Tool Proficiency: Proficient with the safe operation of carpentry tools and power tools.
- Reading Skills: Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.
- Safety Protocols: Must be able to work safely with other workers and abide by our client's safety manual.
- Construction Experience: Relevant construction experience, residential or commercial.
- Driver's Licence: Valid Driver's Licence (preferred).
- Tool Pouch: Tool Pouch.
- PPE: Full PPE.
