Activity Aide

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Activity Aide to join our team at Retirement Concepts. As an Activity Aide, you will play a vital role in planning, implementing, and evaluating activity programs to meet the physical, social, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, and cultural needs and interests of our residents.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Assist in planning and implementing activity programs, including outings, exercises, crafts, social events, entertainment, games, and more
* Provide support and assistance to residents during recreational activities as required
* Observe, report, and document any changes in residents to the supervisor and/or nurse
* Maintain recreational equipment and supplies in a safe, clean, and efficient manner
* Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (C.Q.I.) program, meetings, committees, and educational in-services as required
* Assist with orientation of new residents
* Provide guidance, assistance, and support to volunteers

**Qualifications:**

* Graduate from a recognized Activity/Recreation Certificate or diploma program
* Experience in a senior's focused recreation department an asset
* Food Safe Course or equivalent (Current)
* Valid Class 4 (Unrestricted) BC Driver's License required
* Vulnerable sector Criminal Record Check applicable to Provincial guidelines

**Skills and Abilities:**

* Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently and understand verbal and written instructions
* Good interpersonal and organizational skills
