About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Equipment Installer to join our team at AIM Telecom Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth installation, maintenance, and repair of our telecommunications equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Installation and Maintenance
    • Install, arrange, remove, and maintain telephone equipment, wiring, and associated hardware.
    • Inspect the operation of telecommunications equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Equipment Repair and Replacement
    • Diagnose and locate equipment faults, and adjust, replace, or repair telecommunications equipment as needed.
    • Repair or replace defective telephone equipment to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance
    • Analyze test results and adjust, change, or repair switching systems, networks, associated equipment, and software to ensure optimal performance.
    • Operate computerized testing systems to conduct service tests on customer lines and equipment.
  • Documentation and Reporting
    • Complete and maintain test and service reports to ensure accurate documentation of work performed.
    • Initiate the dispatch of appropriate repair personnel as needed.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Work Environment and Physical Demands
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
    • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
    • Manual dexterity required.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Client focus and initiative.
    • Judgement and reliability.
    • Team player with accurate and dependable work habits.
Working Conditions
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • 30 to 35 hours per week.
  • English language proficiency.
