The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Clinical Therapist to join our team in the Child and Adolescent Service, Mental Health and Addictions. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide assessment and planning, treatment and intervention, and crisis management for clients. You will work collaboratively with families to develop and implement care plans that promote recovery and well-being.
This is a part-time long assignment position, working 60 hours bi-weekly for approximately 12 months. The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in a clinical health-related discipline and current registration with a relevant provincial regulatory body. You will have demonstrated knowledge and skills in providing individual and group evidence-informed therapies, as well as crisis intervention and suicide risk assessment.
We are looking for a highly motivated and compassionate individual who is committed to delivering high-quality care to our clients. If you are passionate about working with children, youth, and families, and have a strong understanding of mental health and addictions, we encourage you to apply.
About You- Master's degree in a clinical health-related discipline
- Current registration with a relevant provincial regulatory body
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in providing individual and group evidence-informed therapies
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in crisis intervention and suicide risk assessment
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills
- High level of written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in multiple software applications
