We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team at Vector Freight Systems Inc.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently across various routes. This is a permanent position requiring a high level of physical fitness and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and unload goods from vehicles
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo
Requirements:
  • AZ class license
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • High level of physical fitness
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the transportation industry
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and laws
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent travel and varying weather conditions.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Hours of Work:

40 hours per week.
